Frequently Asked Questions
1. Which areas do you cover for delivery? We deliver our premier inflatables across Berkshire and Surrey. This includes all major towns like Bracknell, Reading, Wokingham, Camberley, Chertsey, and Henley-on-Thames. Specifically, we cover postcodes in RG (1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 30, 31, 40, 41, 42, 45), GU (15, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 24, 25, 47), and SL (4, 5). If your postcode isn't listed, please get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate you!
2. Can I keep the inflatable overnight? Yes! If you want the party to keep going, we offer overnight hire for just an additional £40. This is subject to availability and the inflatable being in a secure, gated rear garden. We typically collect overnight hires the following morning.
3. What do I need to tell my indoor venue or hall? When booking a hall in areas like Reading or Wokingham, please ensure you check the ceiling height against the "Height" requirement listed on our product pages (especially for the Disco Dome). We also require a 30-minute window before and after your event for professional setup and pack-down.
4. How do I know your equipment is safe? Safety is our "Gold Standard." Every unit at Sploj is PIPA tested annually, and we are proud members of the BIHA (British Inflatable Hirers Alliance). We hold £5 million in Public Liability Insurance and all our electrical equipment is PAT tested. As our customers often say, we provide "professional service you can trust."
5. What is your "British Weather Backup" policy? We know the weather in Berkshire can be unpredictable! If high winds (over 24mph) or heavy rain are forecast, we prioritize safety and will not set up outdoors. However, we offer a flexible backup: you can either move your booking to an indoor venue or choose an alternative date at no extra cost.
6. Can you set up on artificial grass or hard standing? For outdoor hires, we strictly set up on real grass only. To comply with PIPA safety regulations and insurance, we must be able to anchor the inflatable into the ground using 38cm steel pegs. We cannot set up on astro-turf, concrete, or decking outdoors.
7. How much power do the inflatables need? Each inflatable, including the Disco Dome and Dinosaur Fun Run, requires one standard 13amp household plug socket.<source-footnote ng-version="0.0.0-PLACEHOLDER"></source-footnote>We provide all necessary extension leads up to 25 meters. If your event is in a field without power, please let us know in advance so we can discuss generator hire options.
8. Do i need to keep the blower running the whole time? Yes, the electric blower must remain switched on for the entire duration of the hire to keep the unit safely inflated. The only exception is during a heavy rainstorm or if we specifically instruct you otherwise during the safety briefing at setup.
